the story of Terego, Uganda
For Taban, who serves as one of the leaders of Ever on Mission (EOM), not only reaching refugees before they transition back to their home countries but also reaching host communities in Uganda is a strategic move.
As a refugee himself, Taban has experienced first-hand the reception and acceptance by their host community neighbors. Of the estimated 323,000 inhabitants of Terego, 168,000 are refugees. Most of them are from South Sudan. He recently identified a family in the village of Terego who have a like-minded heart to reach their community with the gospel.
The family is eager to begin a home fellowship. This family and their home will be a launching point for what will grow into a church later this year.
Taban
“The ground is soft here in Terego. People are so open to spiritual things.
There is no evangelical ministry here spreading the gospel. We want to reach this host community now with Christ.”
Let’s come alongside Taban and EOM today to help in the next steps of establishing this new church.
