The story of Jebel Marra, SudanWith a population boom of 443% in just under 10 years, the region of Jebel Marra is where Ecclesia Ministries wants to establish a mission center. They have identified 25 locations in the area where new house fellowships can be established with a little bit of support.
Jebel Marra is viewed as a strategic region to advance the gospel. While no reliable population statistics exist due to a lack of access to the area, population estimates in 2015 indicate about 365,000 people living in the region. In 2024, it is estimated that about 2 million people were displaced in IDP camps due to war and insecurities. That’s a population increase of just over 443%!
Ecclesia Ministries is on track to establish a mission center in this region. They have identified 25 locations in the area where new house fellowships can be established. A few local churches are present in the area, but due to population increases, the need is great. Paul* and his team need some support to help take the next steps in reaching this region for Christ.
