Freedom in Christ

His decision to follow Christ has been met with suffering and the loss of his family, but he has found freedom in Jesus…

Paul with Ecclesia Ministries shares about a disciple, Zachariah*, and his commitment to the gospel:

“Pictured above is Zachariah*. He was one of the mosque leaders in his village. During evangelism activities back in 2023, Zachariah accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

When Zachariah decided to follow Jesus, he became very active in his village. Many people confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through his witness. Zachariah was excited to see so many people accepting Jesus, but his wife was not happy about the change in him and the work that he was doing. She tried to stop him and forced him to denounce Jesus and go back to Islam. He refused.

Then she went to the police and reported to them that her husband had changed his religion and had become a Christian, and now she was no longer going to be with him. Zachariah was arrested and taken into custody because of his faith. When he was asked about his wife’s claim, he said, “I am following Jesus Christ.”

He was forced to divorce his wife and was also denied access to his children. But Zachariah remained faithful, and until he was released, Zachariah continued to preach the gospel.

His decision to follow Christ has been met with suffering and the loss of his family, but he has found freedom in Jesus and remains committed and faithful to share this freedom with others.”

God designed His Church to work together — from our neighborhoods to the ends of the earth.
