The Discipleship Circle

As they continue to be trained, they start training others.

Ecclesia Ministry is seeking to close the discipleship circle by developing leaders who, in turn, start to train others. Paul* shares:

“Crucial in our ministry is the issue of developing leaders to help the churches reach maturity. It is necessary for ministry that leaders are trained with the Word of God and fully adopt the vision of the ministry.

We are prioritizing the development of leaders throughout our network of churches. As we continue to evangelize, God is bringing people to His Kingdom. We begin to hold discipleship activities by gathering small groups to share God’s word, pray, and cast the vision of reaching our people with the Word of God.

We are currently taking a small group through how to study God’s Word with purpose.

Within the different groups, some people demonstrate that they are potential leaders. We observe them trying to lead, prioritizing their time for others, and having the ability to read and apply what they learn. We identify and organize them to give more and more training in the Word of God.

As they continue to be trained, they start training others. In this way, the discipleship circle is closed.

We remain with a big gap. We lack an advanced institute that will help with higher training. We would love a Bible school that is in our context. Even without this, we lack resources to take many people the far distances where schools are located to be trained.

Decades of unrest in our area have led leaders to become dependent upon outside funding for some ministry efforts. Often, if there is lack of funding, advancing some of our goals becomes difficult. We pray for stability to stand on our own two feet.

We know developing leaders is the future of our church.
