Spiritual Openness

There is a spiritual openness in our communities.

For global partner, Community Network Ministries (CNM), they don’t take for granted every opportunity they are given to share the gospel. David Lual shares about a spiritual openness in their community and in their schools:

“South Sudan is a country where individuals are remarkably receptive to the gospel. They express love through prayers, even if they do not identify as Christians. Preachers are often invited to deliver sermons at the funerals of families who are not Christian. There is a spiritual openness in our communities. This openness is also evident in public spaces and educational institutions. Since there is this openness, CNM seizes every opportunity to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

One of our team members, Stephen Deng Awan knows the importance of making the most of every opportunity we are given. Deng serves as our church administrator and is also a choir leader. He possesses exceptional talent in singing and composing Dinka (our local language) songs. Many of his songs resonate with the youth. He has taken an initiative to visit schools to share the gospel with them. Every Friday, he is invited to sing and preach in these schools. His efforts have resulted in a significant and positive impact. Students are coming to Christ in various educational settings.

Join us in prayer for Deng as we work on developing teaching materials to assist him in reaching even more students.”
