Love changed his heart.

Their love opened his heart.

Ecclesia Ministries is passionate about getting Bibles into the hands of people blinded to God’s truth. Paul* shares how the love of a family prompted one man to read the Bible for himself.

Ali* spent his whole adult life serving as the Imam (leader) of his local Mosque. He studied and memorized the entire Quran to be able to recite it.

Despite his influence in the community, his wife and two sons heard the gospel and turned to Christ. He was devastated. His family would not renounce their faith so he decided to leave and live apart from them.

Before leaving, while sitting outside his home, he heard his wife and sons speaking of the gospel and praying. They were praying for him. He decided to listen in and learn more about what they were saying.

Their love for him prompted a change in his heart. He came into the house and humbly asked, “Please, can I look at this book (the Bible)?” He picked up the Bible and began reading. He compared it to the Quran he knew so well. While reading, he was convinced that the Bible was the Word of God. He said to his family, “I thought you were wrong. Because of your beliefs, I thought you were not worthy of staying with me, but today I was proved wrong. I want to confess that the Bible is true and I believe in Jesus!”

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
