Sharing God’s love this Easter.
Spreading hope, joy, and the message of salvation to those around us.
David Taban with Ever On Mission asked Kibo, one of their network pastors, to share with us a little about why he felt Easter was an important time to share the love of God.
“Many people celebrate the Easter holiday without knowing what it truly means. Easter is significant for Christian believers. On this day we specifically celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All those who believe that Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead represent his victory over sin and death, and the hope given for eternal life.
There are several reasons why it's important to celebrate and share the love of God on this Easter holiday.
We celebrate for spiritual significance.
Easter commemorates Jesus' triumph over sin and death and the offer of salvation and eternal life to humanity. It is also a time to spread the gospel. Easter provides an opportunity to share the message of redemption with other people as they look at our time of celebrations.
We also celebrate as a time of personal growth and reflection.
Easter encourages personal reflection on one’s faith, values, and relationship with God. Also, sharing God's love on Easter often leads to acts of kindness, compassion, and service to others.
Finally, Easter is a time of community evangelism and outreach.
This time of celebration encourages us to engage with the local community, sharing the love of God with those who may not know him. It is also an excellent opportunity to invite friends, family, and neighbors to our church service and introduce them to the love and teaching of Jesus Christ.
By sharing God’s love on Easter, we spread hope, joy, and the message of salvation to those around us.”
