Seeing Potential
Preparing for Future Ministry.
Recently, the Ever on Mission (EOM) team headed to the Omugo Zone of the Upper Rhino Refugee Settlement to help re-launch a partner church. As often as is the case in the refugee settlement, church members and leaders move in and out of the church fellowship. Taban shares, “Currently, Hope Baptist Church has dwindled in attendance and is lacking in leadership. The EOM team canvased the area surrounding the church to share the gospel and gathered people together for fellowship on Sunday. The prayer was for hearts to be open to receive the gospel and for potential leaders to be discovered to lead this church.
The outreach went on successfully.
We were able to encourage five women who have remained as continuing members of this church.
We presented the gospel to about 150 people in the area.
Five people professed Christ as their Savior.
We have started a process for leadership establishment.
The team will return for evangelistic outreach again in late April.”
EOM has also seen God moving in the lives of some of its young team members. Taban shares, “Our members are ministering in St. Luke Widi Secondary School. They participate in a Scripture Union Club there with the students. They are leading out in weekly devotions, one-on-one evangelism, and discipleship. These young students are leading out by example and are a bright future for ministry.”
