He is not alone anymore.
He had a burden to share the gospel with others in his village.
Lual with Community Network Ministries (CNM) wants you to get to know James and hear about how God is using him to transform their community.
A few years ago, James heard the gospel through watching a Jesus Film presentation hosted by CNM. Watching the Jesus Film, James was convicted and responded to the invitation to accept Jesus as his savior. He gave his life to Jesus that evening.
Following the outreach, James joined our discipleship group and the Bible-sharing class. He was hungry for discipleship and was growing. A bit later, he was faithful to be baptized. James showed a great desire to learn more in our Bible study but he struggled. James could not read or write, so his growth was limited to what we discussed each week. That didn’t stop him. He would travel an hour and a half each time to attend the Bible study.
After he was baptized James felt a burden on his heart to share the gospel with others in his village. There was no church in his village so he took that burden on himself. James would memorize the Bible stories and teachings he had learned during the Bible study times and he would share them with others. The response from the village was amazing. His entire village decided to come to Jesus. There is not a single person now in that village who is not a follower of Jesus! Together they have made a shelter for weekly worship. He is not alone anymore.
James has now become the pastor of this village church. He is also learning to read. He is studying the Dinka alphabet so that he can read and teach the Bible. He is one of the leading pastors in our (CNM) network. The gospel has radically transformed him, and through him, others are being transformed.
