Easter is a time filled with hope.

The lack of resources is not hindering this small church.

Easter is not only a time of celebration but a season of hope for believers in the town of Ga*. Paul* with Ecclesia Ministries shares about the church and how they are celebrating this year.

Church members in the town of Ga are struggling due to a severe lack of resources. “Everything is lacking!” shares Paul*. “There is a high population of people in a very small area. The lack of resources is also contributing to insecurity in the area. It is not safe to even go out to gather firewood.”

The lack of resources is not hindering this small church from preparing for the baptism of 9 new believers this Easter Sunday! They have a small hole dug where they are collecting water, creating a pool for people to enter. The pool will hold about ten jerry cans of water (approximately 50 gallons). Church members gather water at night from the town tap because it is too hot and the lines too long to collect the extra water needed during the day.

Church members are also setting a little food aside each week to share at their Easter celebration. Everyone will contribute what they can for a meal. After a time of teaching and praying, they will fill the pool for the baptisms.

“For this community, Easter is a time of celebration to remember God has a plan for rescuing his people. We are filled with hope as we focus on depending on God,” shares Paul.

Join us in praying for these believers, for God to provide the resources needed, and to kindle hope in the hearts of this church.
