Football has become a platform to share the gospel.
Through the game of football, so many youth and children have heard the gospel.
Global partner, Shadrach* lives in a community where being a Christ-follower is not always easy. He shares how the game of football (soccer) has become a platform to share the gospel:
“This week we have been focusing on evangelism through sports. Through the avenue of sports, both Christian and Muslim unite in our community.
Children love to play sports. We have a teacher who also is a good football coach. God has placed him in a coaching position where the majority of his players are Muslim. But when they start their activities, he always shares a Bible story with them and then they pray together!
The children are so interested in the stories and their parents are not pushing back or questioning because the children are having fun and learning football. Through the game of football, so many youth and children have heard the gospel. To God be the glory.”
