Women Leaders Are Boldly Sharing Christ in Hard Places

The harvest is plentiful in your community, too.

Milton with Yenet Ministries shares how in their ministry, they are pouring into the development of women who are bolding sharing the gospel. Using every opportunity that presents itself, their approach to sharing the gospel begins with a simple invitation to come and join. Milton shares:

When you walk through the settlements, the struggles are easy to see—families still carrying pain from war, the hunger that does not go away, the broken relationships at home, and the many unmet needs. Yet even in all this hardship, we see hearts open and ready to hear the hope of Christ. Truly, the harvest is plentiful here.

This is why the women leaders we have discipled and mentored are stepping out with courage. Once shy and unsure, these women are now leading Bible studies, holding prayer meetings, and using every chance they have—whether in food lines, at the market, or under a tree—to share the hope of Jesus. They are not waiting for perfect conditions. They show us that God can raise strong leaders even in the hardest places.

At a recent women’s conference in Pagirinya Refugee Settlement, more than 100 women gathered. They did not come because of posters or announcements. They came because these leaders personally invited their neighbors. Together, they prayed, studied the Bible, and encouraged one another in Christ. The women we have trained are multiplying hope, reaching beyond themselves, and pointing others to the peace they have found in Jesus.

A Call to Each of Us

Their courage challenges us too. If women who have lost so much can still stand strong in faith and speak boldly about Christ, then how much more can we share where God has placed us?

I encourage you to ask yourself: Who in my life is waiting for me to share the hope of Jesus with them? The harvest is plentiful in your community, too. Let’s step forward with boldness, trusting that God has already prepared hearts to receive His message.

Join Us in Prayer

•  Pray for the women leaders to remain strong in faith and unity, even as they face personal struggles with trauma, hunger, and family pressure.

•  Pray that God will continue to open hearts in the settlements, multiplying disciples and raising more bold leaders who will carry the hope of Jesus into their communities.
