Strong and Courageous
Shadrach* encourages others to be strong and courageous in sharing the gospel amidst rejection and persecution. He shares:
“Since we started the ministry, ‘Be Strong and Courageous!' has been our motto. When you become a Christian from being Muslim, you face rejection, persecution, and threats, even threats of being killed. But through God, we can be strong in our persecution. In 2013, when our homes were burned because of our faith, so many believers were afraid and timid, but as I taught through the Book of Joshua, I was teaching them to be strong and courageous. So many believers were encouraged to be bold, and they encouraged others also.Today, we are reaching the community through the love of God and have courage because sometimes others can be hostile. We stand strong in the midst of violence and abuse and keep sharing Christ's love. We are attempting to reach our community by building relationships and demonstrating the love of Christ to others.
““Since we started the ministry, ‘Be Strong and Courageous!’ has been our motto.”
Just a few days ago, our church member John* shared the gospel with someone he knew. That friend decided to follow Christ. John brought this new believer to join our fellowship. I see increased boldness in our church body. So many people are encouraged despite persecution. They keep sharing, and it has been a big encouragement to others.
Together we remain ‘strong and courageous’ in sharing Jesus with our community.”
