Everyday Conversations

Stories of Everyday Opportunities to Share the Gospel.

The following stories were recently shared with us. Both are such good reminders of how God gives us opportunities in everyday conversations to bridge to the gospel. As you read these two stories, pray for these new believers as well as for boldness for all of us to share the gospel at every opportunity the Lord gives to us.

The Taxi

Today, as I (Silas*) was taking the books to the bus station, I began a conversation with my taxi driver. Actually, in his taxi, he was listening to a Muslim preacher. The Muslim preacher was saying “Allah forgive us our sins and the sins of all Muslims.” The driver was agreeing with a loud. “Amen!”

I asked him, "If God answers your prayer and He tells you that he has forgiven your sin, how will you feel?"

He said, "Very happy and I will say thank you, God! But can He say that to me?"
I told him, "Jesus Christ has said just that. That He is the only means of forgiveness. The moment you accept Him as Lord and Savior He will forgive all your sin and you will be blameless in the sight of God."

He said, “Is it true?"

I told him, "Yes it’s true but you can also get this from the Bible."
He said, "Please, can you give me a Bible?"

I gave him a Bible that afternoon. Just now he called me and said, “I have been reading the book you gave, please help to become Christian!”

I will meet him again tomorrow.
We praise God for His work. His name is Mohamed*.

A Week-Long Q&A

Two Muslim men have given their lives to Christ after seven days of discussion. The Lord has touched their souls and they are saved.

Fuad* is 38 years old and  Duma* is 34. They have strongly argued and defended Islam, but at the end of the day, they found themselves defending the wrong religion.

Duma said, "I have never realized that I have believed in a false religion and the ways to defend it, but I am now free from it altogether."

Fuad said, "I am convinced that Islam is not true. I give myself to Christ. I felt like I was carrying a heavy thing in my life and it has been removed."

Brothers and sisters, please pray for Duma and Fuad. Both of them have families, and they will face persecution. Pray that their lives and wives will not be taken from them.

*Names altered to protect the identity of those working in areas of increased persecution.
